About Us

Development Services (DS) was established by Sarhan Ali Ahmed Al Sarhani in 1978 as his first independent venture, a trading company for the supply of equipment to the Power industry in the Sultanate of Oman. This was inspired by his wealth of work experience and roles at the Department of Energy in Abu Dhabi, the Ministry of Defence in Oman and Oman Gas Company.

Over the years, DS has diversified its business activities to include Oil & Gas, Water, Aviation and Project Industrial Supplies in addition to providing market intelligence for our international partners. DS is divided into three main divisions, the electrical division, the mechanical division and the industrial projects division.
